Columbus, OH
March 7- 9, 2013
CONFERENCE INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED AS IT BECOMES AVAILABLE
What hotels have been reserved? What are the rates?
The ITEEA conference hotels for Columbus 2013 have yet to be announced. This information will be posted as soon as it's available.
Can I make my hotel reservations now?
Housing information will be available in October. Rooms can be reserved through the ITEEA internet links or by calling the hotel and identifying yourself as attending the ITEEA conference.
Why is the hotel cut-off date so important?
After February 10, 2013, you cannot be guaranteed a room in the ITEEA housing block. You take both the risk of not getting a room, or paying a much higher price than the special rates negotiated on your behalf by ITEEA. The ITEEA rates are substantially lower than other rates you would find in close proximity to the convention center, and to secure your room at these rates, you must confirm it by the hotel cut-off date of February 10, 2013.
Will I be refunded if I have to cancel my hotel reservation?
Yes, so long as you cancel within 72 hours of your date of arrival. Otherwise, you will be charged one night’s room and tax.
I am bringing my family with me; are there planned activities for them to participate in?
What to do in Columbus and travel information is available.
What does my registration fee include?
Your registration includes: admission to the opening general sessions and all professional development learning sessions. It also includes the Welcome Reception on Wednesday night, and the lunch in the exhibit hall on Friday. Additional breakfast, lunch and tour activities are available for you to participate in for additional fees. Check the ITEEA registration form for these costs.
Where do I find information about the Council programming and their special sessions?
There is a heading called “Council and Other Programming” on the conference guide on the ITEEA website. Click on the logo you want, and their complete program of events will be visible.
What is happening in the evenings that I can participate in?
Wednesday evening there is a Welcome Gather/Networking Event that is open to all registered attendees. Thursday and Friday evenings are free for you to explore the many restaurants, nightclubs and entertainment venues in the downtown Columbus area.
What is the best way to make my travel arrangements to the meeting at the best rates?
We recommend that you secure your air travel at least 60 days in advance of the conference in order to receive the best rates and the schedule that best suits your needs. You can access this information on the Travel page on the conference website.
What is the dress code?
Columbus, is a casual, comfortable walking city. The conference dress is business casual. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
Will all programs/sessions be held at the convention center?
All conference events will be held at either the Columbus Convention Center or the hotels (TBD). Program scheduling and location will be posted when it becomes available.
